Join The Kelsey Museum of Archaeology for Read and Look in the museum galleries. Kids 4-8 will take over a corner of the museum to read a book about the ancient world together. Then we’ll find related artifacts and art on display.

A parade, time capsule opening ceremony, live music, touch a truck and more will be held at Riverside Park to celebrate Ypsilanti’s Bicentennial

Due to construction downtown the annual parade will be held at Briarwood Mall. The festivities begin at 8 a.m. with food trucks, entertainment and more. The parade will begin at 10 a.m.

Tween Writing Workshop with Author Sondra Soderborg
At this workshop, writers will have the opportunity to hear an excerpt from Sondra’s new middle grade novel Sky Ropes and receive a prompt that was helpful to Sondra in the development of her story. After a free write around the prompt, writers will have an opportunity to take the mic and share their work with the group. Registration is required.

WRAP Movie Night in the Park
Home of New Vision will host a free outdoor movie each month at Frog Island Park. Movies will begin at dusk with the latest titles showing, and some old favorites, along with free popcorn, candy and soda.
