Family Friendly New Years Eve Events

End 2022 on a good note and have some fun with your family on New Year’s Eve. Here is a list of local family friendly events happening on New Year’s Eve. 


Kid’s Pokémon Winter Party

Take the kids to partake on the fun of this winterpalooza at Upkeep games with food and games. 

Where: The Upkeep Games, 2121 W. Stadium Blvd, Ann Arbor.

When: 10 a.m.-12 p.m.


Noon Year’s Eve Countdown and Balloon Drop

Celebrate the new year during the day to accommodate for early bedtimes. This event is Cinderella themed and encourages guests to dress in costume. The event is free but they ask guests to RSVP.

Where: Stone Chalet Bed and Breakfast Inn and Event Center, 1917 Washtenaw Ave. Ann Arbor

When: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Cost: Free


Kid’s Paint Party

Ages five and up are invited to make and take home a painting of their own to cap off the year. Guests receive a 16×20 canvas with the primary element of their painting pre-sketched. Design options for this event include a rainbow unicorn, Charlemander, night owl or a giraffe. 

Where: Tipsy Ypsi Paint & Pour, 5 S. Washington St, Ypsilanti.

When: 12-1:30 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Family Bash

Fun for the whole family is offered at this Paradise Park event. Each ticket includes a game of laser tag, homemade pizza buffet, unlimited soda, a balloon drop with prizes, party hats and horns, and a coloring contest. There will be bloody Marys and mimosas available for ages 21 and up to purchase.

Where: Paradise Park, 45799 Grand River Ave, Novi.

When: 12:30-2:30pm

Cost: $23.95 per person, $20.95 for ages 8 and under. Ages 2 and under are free with parent admission. 


NYE GLOW Party

Join this glow party as a fun way to end 2022. Attractions include a zip line, warrior Course, trapeze, swing, warped wall, ninja training zone, dodgeball, parkour, and more.

Where: Airborne Brighton, 8151 Movie Dr, Brighton.

When: 6-8 p.m.

Ypsilanti Bicentennial Kick-Off and New Year’s Eve Celebration

Begin celebrating 200 years of Ypsilanti on New Years Eve.  There will be a family fun ball drop at 7 p.m. and a classic ball drop at midnight to celebrate 2023.

Where: Downtown Ypsilanti, Black Lives Matter Blvd. (South Washington St.) between Ferris St. and Michigan Ave, Ypsilanti.

When: 7 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

Cost: Free


NYE Unlimited Night

Get an unlimited pass to the exciting attractions at Zap Zone. There will also be a ball drop and New Year’s favors. 

Where: Rollerama Zap Zone of Brighton, 6995 Grand River Rd, Brighton.

When: 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Cost: $34.99
