CatVideoFest and Creature Feature to Premiere at Michigan Theater

The Michigan Theater is proud to announce the 2021 CatVideoFest and the Ann Arbor Creature Feature, to premiere Sunday, July 25.

The Michigan Theater is excited to announce the 2021 CatVideoFest with a special preshow screening of the MFT Original Ann Arbor Creature Feature. CatVideoFest will return on Sunday, July 25 at 1:30pm and Tuesday, July 27 at 4:15pm.

The event will raise money for local animal welfare organizations, cat charities, and shelters. From these showings, ten percent of the proceeds are aimed to go towards the Humane Society of Huron Valley and the Tiny Lion Cafe.

CatVideoFest works to raise awareness and money for cats in need around the world. In 2019, over $50,000 was raised for local shelters. The videos are a compilation reel of some of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions. CatVideoFest will consist of a combination of different cat media. Not only will there be the classic short videos that the internet provides, but there will also be selections from animations and music videos. CatVideoFest is 72 minutes long in total, giving you just the right amount of cuteness.

The preshow for the CatVideoFest is just as exciting, with the Michigan Theater announcing the showing of the Ann Arbor Creature Feature. Throughout the pandemic, people relied on their pets for support and comfort. As a result, Michigan Theater opened a call for silly and fun pet videos from Ann Arbor locals late last year. The Ann Arbor Creature Feature is a compilation of the best video submissions that the Michigan Theater received during its calls.

Come enjoy an evening of furry fun with local pets and support our local HSHV. The first showing will take place July 25 at 1:30pm, and the second showing will be on Tuesday, July 27 at 4:15pm.

General admission tickets are $10.50. Student, senior, and U.S. Veterans can purchase tickets for $8.50, and MTF Members can purchase tickets for $8. Visit the Michigan Theater website for more information and to purchase tickets.
